    Deal exacted revenge for the defeat at Lordswood three weeks ago and on aggregate won 5-4. On a blustery evening both sides tried to play football but with the conditions as they were it was hard. The first real chance of the game came in the 8th minute when Darren Marsden passed to Lee Farrell who turned and slid the ball forward for Scott Bucklen to run on to but once in the area his weak shot went just past the post, then two minutes later Deal took the lead when a cross to the back post was not cleared properly and Roy Godden latched onto it and smacked home from an acute angle. Lordswood took a while to get going but in the last 20 minutes of the half they started to pass the ball better and cause a few murmurs in the Deal defence especially in the 26th minute Lee Farrell received the ball from Craig Beckwith wide on the left and he went forward and cut inside and shot from 20 yards forcing Jordan Pettman to parry it away.

    The second became 45 minutes of hell for Lordswood as Deal controlled the game and scored four goals. The second goal for Deal came in the 59th minute when a corner to the far post saw Adam Govey shoot home from 10 yards unopposed. Then 5 minutes later a cross into the area was met by Lee Jones’s head to increase there lead. In the 78th minute it became four when Andy Kemp was adjudged to have fouled Godden in the area and up stepped David Bathgate to score from the penalty spot. The final nail of the coffin came in the 83rd minute when a corner to the far post was met by Darren Warring who from 8 yards out headed home. The only moment of happiness for Lordswood came in the 90th minute when Darren Marsden was fouled in the area and up stepped the Captain Adam Douglas who stroked it into the bottom right hand side of the net.
