    Another disappointing day for Lordswood as they came away from the Erith Sports Stadium with another defeat and no goals scored.

    On a blustery afternoon it took both teams time to settle down but in the 10th minute a long throw from Alan Matthews into the area saw Mo Cho head just over the bar and in the 19th minute Erith took the lead when a free kick 23 yards out on the right side was taken by Adam Heaslewood and if went over the wall and into the net leaving Rowan grasping at thin air. In the 23rd minute Kevin George on the edge of the area received the ball and shot but luckily for Lordswood it went just past the post. Two minutes later and Lordswood had a half chance to get back into the game when Lee Farrell from halfway went forward avoiding tackles from defenders but his shot from 20 yards lacked venom and James Wastell saved easily. In the 34th minute a free kick in the identical position to the goal was taken by Heaslewood but this time Rowan was able to get across and tip over the bar.

    The second half again took time to get going but in the 57th minute a ball floated into the area saw Danny Malone 20 yards out and his volleyed shot caused Wastell to save at the second attempt. Three minutes later Cho on the edge of the area saw his shot saved by Rowan and now Erith were in total control and in the 64th minute another long throw by Matthews into the area saw Grizzle’s header tipped around the post by Rowan but in the 74th minute again another long throw by Matthews into the area saw Danny Twin’s header from 6 yards fumbled by Rowan only for Grizzle to pounce on the rebound and stab home. In a rare sorte in the Erith half Ray Broad chipped into the area for Danny Malone but his header went over the bar and then six minutes later disaster struck for Rowan and Lordswood as Matthews crossed into the area Rowan came out but his punch under pressure went straight to Cho who stabbed home from 8 yards.
