    Lordswood have no gone 277 minutes without a goal and badly need a bit of luck to help them out. The first half was like the weather; you did not what was coming next. Lordswood had the first chance in the 12th minute when a Adam Ling corner saw Nick Smith’s header go just wide and then in the next minute Faversham’s John Goodwin was put through into the area and just as he was about to shoot Lee Dengate came across and tackled him. Faversham had the next chance in the 18th minute when James Holder headed wide from a Julian Beal corner. In the 28th minute Andy Martin in the area received the ball and turned quickly but saw his shot go wide. The last chance of the half came in the 36th minute when a cross into the area saw Goodwin head just over.

    Faversham thought they had taken the lead in the 55th minute when a corner to the back post found Holder whose shot was deflected goal wards and Martin six yards out saw his snap shot come back off the post but in the very next minute they did score when Wayne Farrell on the right crossed to the edge of the area for Jason Mills controlled and volleyed in from 18 yards. It could have been worse when 7 minutes later a corner punched clear by Gavin found Julian Beal whose shot from the edge of the area was cleared off the line by Adam Ling.

    Lordswood nearly equalised in the very next minute when Nick Smith was put through but his shot from 15 yards went past the post. Aiken Thomas and Nick combined with Nick running forward into the area but again shot wide. Faversham nearly increased their lead when Martin in the area saw his shot go wide of the post under pressure. In the 78th minute Brad Maguire on the right crossed to the 18yard area for Stuart Smith who acrobatically volleyed just wide.

    The last chance of the game went Lordswood’s way when a free kick into area was half cleared to Aiken Thomas whose shot from 20 yards was pushed over the bar by Paul Copley.
