The deadlock was broken in this keenly fought local derby when Lewis Taylor's "grasscutter" of a corner somehow eluded everybody and ended up in the net. Lordswood went on to dominate the first half. However Gravesend flew out of the blocks at the start of the second half and raced into a 2-1 lead with two well taken goals. Lordswood battled back and were finally rewarded when substitute Aaron Sutcliffe fired home to level the scores.
