Kevin Phillips apointed Club Manager

    Shawn Mitchell resigned as Club Manager following defeat at Deal Town. The club thanks Shawn for all his efforts and enthusiasm and wishes him well. Kevin Phillips has agreed to step in and take over as Club Manager and we wish him every success with what is a difficult job. Kevin was at the helm of Chatham Reserves for a spell when they won the reserve division. He his a strong believer in bringing on younger players through the Youth team set up.

Lordswood FC Seek Reserve Team Manager

    Following the resignation of Dennis Overton Lordswood FC are seeking a new reserve team manager. The club would like to express it thanks to Dennis and his able assistants Mick Davison and Steve Bates and wish them success in their future endeavours. Dennis' resignation opens new opportunities to others and so the Management Committee of the club welcomes applications from people who believe they have something to contribute in taking this club to bigger and better things. Lordswood Appoint Shawn Mitchell as First Team and Club Manager

    Many of you will now be aware that Paul Piggott the First Team & Club Manager has decided to stand down, Paul has been a great servant to the club and we are very sorry to see him go. Over the past three and a half years he has managed all football matters and we would like to thank him for all he has achieved. As a result the Management Committee of the club considered ten applications for the position of Manager and short listed these to four earlier this week and interviews were held on Wednesday evening 16th May. Following those interviews we are pleased to confirm that Shawn Mitchell has with immediate effect been appointed the new manager of Lordswood F.C. Shawn is well know to us at Lordswood as he has played for us in the past and also spent many years at Chatham Town. More recently he has gained some management experience with Wainscott Arrows F.C. in the Medway Sunday league and last season with Snodland F.C. in the Kent County League. Shawn brings great enthusiasm and drive which he showed as a player and is well know to many local players, we wish him every success.

    All players interested in playing for the club next season are asked to contact Shawn, he starts with a clean sheet so everyone is welcome to compete for places in both the First Team and Reserves. Lordswood Seek New Club Manager

    Lordswood manager Paul Piggott calls it a day. Paul will be sadly missed after taking the club to its highest ever league position last year. Best wishes to you Paul and your family from all your friends at Lordswood Football Club.

Floodlight Trophy West Division Winners

    Congratulation to Dennis Overton, Steve Bates and Micky Davison for successfully managing the Reserve team to win the Floodlight Trophy West Division title. This is a great achievement. This Wednesday May 2nd the our Reserves are playing Faversham Town at Faversham in the final game of competition ...... the game kicks-off at 7:45.

    If you can try to get there and see the lads round the competition off in style.


Grand National Fund Raiser

Pastures New

    After serving the club for many years Lordswood stalwart Dave Schicluna has called it a day and moved up to Norfolk. Everybody at the club wishes Dave & Jan all the best for the future and hope that they will visit every now and again. Thanks for all your help in the making of this club.

Fire Destroys Changing Room

    Lordswood Football Club would like to notify all visiting teams of an alteration to the away team changing facilities. Due to an unfortunate fire on Friday evening 15th September, the dressing rooms are out of action. Emergency measures are being taken so as not to disrupt events on Match Days. It is anticipated that the re-building work will be completed in six to eight weeks.

New Faces For The New Season

    A new season brings fresh hopes of glory. A successful run in the major cups is overdue and the new faces brought in over the close season encourages us all. More news to follow on the new faces in the next few days.

    Yes, at long last Lordswood football club has its very own website and is no longer one of the few clubs in the Kent League without a site.
    Over the next few weeks the site will develop and hopefuly become your first choice or even home page for news about the team. Comments and suggestions on content and improving the site are most welcome. Please contact any committee member with your ideas.
